Textox ("we", "our", or "this app") is a Markdown editor application. We take user privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy is designed to explain how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Don't Collect

Textox is a local-first Markdown editor. We do not:

• Collect any personally identifiable information
• Track your usage behavior
• Upload your document content to any server
• Use analytics tools to collect data
• Display ads or track your browsing habits

Local Data We Process

Textox only processes the following data locally on your device:

1. Markdown document content: Documents you create and edit are stored entirely on your device
2. Recently opened files list: Saved locally to provide "Recent Files" functionality
3. App settings: Such as theme preferences, editor settings, etc., stored locally
4. Unsaved changes: Temporarily saved locally for crash recovery

File System Access

Textox needs access to your file system to:

• Open Markdown files you select
• Save documents to your specified location
• Manage your working directory

All file operations require your explicit authorization. We do not access files you haven't selected, and your document content never leaves your device.

Network Access

Textox only uses network in the following cases:

• Loading online images (only when your document contains network image links)
• Checking for app updates (optional feature)
